About Pure Soap
Pure Soap is a concentrated, vegan, natural liquid Castile soap made from Coconut, Sunflower and Canola oils.
General Tips
- The soap is concentrated - a little goes a long way.
- We do not use any sulfates or foaming agents - don't worry! The soap is working.
- If you dilute it with water, use it within a few weeks.
- If you have extra dirty things - you may need more than our suggested amount - see what works for you.
- Want to make your own scent? Buy our unscented and add your own essential oils.
Personal Care
Hand Wash
- Use with a foaming dispenser.
- Dilute 1 part soap to 3 parts water (25% / 75%).
Face & Body
- Use just a few drops and work into a lather in your hands, then wash.
- Or squirt onto a loofah or washcloth.
Bath
- Add 30mls to your bath (it won't foam, but it does clean).
- Add 10mls to a hot water bucket for a foot soak.
Baby
- Yes - it’s extra gentle, even for a baby.
- Try our unscented version, and dilute with water.
Decongestant
- Add 15ml to a bowl of hot water.
- Add a few drops of tea tree or eucalyptus essential oil.
- Put your head over the bowl, drape it with cloth, and breathe in the steam.
Hair Shampoo
- A few drops for short hair, or 10ml diluted with water for longer hair. Lather and rinse.
- Rinse with apple cider vinegar, or even Grounded Softener (herbal vinegar) for extra shine.
Teeth
- Just a drop or 2 on your toothbrush and work it to a nice lather.
- Yes, it will taste a bit like soap.
Cleaning
Floors (Wood, Laminate, Stone)
- 30mls to a 10L bucket. Warm water works best.
- Dip in mop or cloth and wring out. Mop floors.
- For wood and laminate, avoid excess water. Follow up with a cloth to dry.
Dishes
- Dilute with water (1 part soap to 10 parts water), squeeze onto a sponge and work into lather.
- Wash dishes, then rinse.
All Purpose Surface Spray
- Add 60–90ml to a 500ml spray bottle, based on preference.
- Add some bicarbonate soda to boost cleaning power.
Toilets
- Dilute 1:4 in a spray bottle, then scrub.
- Use Grounded Scouring Powder for deep cleaning.
Hand Washing Delicates or Spot Treating Stains
- Add 15ml to a basin of cold water. Add delicates and swish around.
- Leave to sit for 10 minutes, swish, rinse, towel dry, then hang dry.
- For stains, wet the fabric, squirt a few drops onto it, and blot gently.
Other Uses
Pet Shampoo
- Wet pet and apply a squirt of soap, or dilute 10ml into a pitcher with water.
- Work into a lather and rinse.
- Amount depends on fur, size, and mud.
Fruit and Veg Rinse
- Use one squirt in a bowl of water.
- Add non-leafy fruit and veg and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
- Rinse with clean water.
Plant Spray for Bugs
- Add 15ml to a 1L spray bottle with water.
- Spray leaves with infestation and wipe off with a wet cloth after 5–10 minutes.
- Do not add more soap, as this may burn the plant leaves.
Ant Spray
- Add 30ml to a 500ml spray bottle with water and spray ants.
- Add peppermint or clove essential oils for extra repelling power.
